Andy is the 4th of the Dymock Dynasty to play for Dundee Rugby debuting while still at school on the 2006 summer tour to Enniskillin before making a try scoring 1st XV debut agaisnt Melrose at the Greenyards in the Super Cup in 2007. Andy's International pedigree started with Scotland Under-17, an involvement with the Scottish Sevens squad before he debuted for the Under-18s in the opening game of the inaugural Under-18 6 Nations Festival against England at Burnbrae.
Andy made the step up to the full Scotland sevens squad in 2007 and was selected for the Dubai and South Africa tournaments, joining Dundee's allocated pro for that season, Richie Vernon.
