- Ireland Schools
Mark arrived from Dungannon, NI to study medicine at Dundee University and was quickly noticed not just for his 6'7" height but also his rugby skills. After a season in the 2nd XV he has been a regular 1st XV player forming half of Dundee's 'Twin Towers' with fellow Ulsterman Neil McComb.
At representative rugby level he was selected (along with Neil) for Ulster Schools and was also capped for Ireland Schools, against Australia.
After school came a year's 'O.E.' in New Zealand, where he played for Grammer Carlton in Auckland (Shannon Wilson's club), playing well enough to be selected for Auckland Colts (u21s).
