Dundee High Head Coach Ian RankinIan Rankin - Head Coach Ian came to Dundee with a coaching pedigree of the highest calibre. Having been a successful club coach, he progressed to Caledonia before earning Scotland U21 and Scotland 'A' recognition then taking the helm with professional side, Edinburgh Gunners. Now in his 5th season with Dundee, Ranks has masterminded the club to promotion to Premier 1, and 2 Scottish Cup Finals before being invited to coach the Scotland club international side in 2007, 2008 then as manager in 2009. Ranks provides a professional environment at Dundee in which several players have progressed to international and professional rugby.

 

Dundee High Assistant Coach Shannon WilsonShannon Wilson - Assistant Coach
Shannon Wilson joins the backroom staff as assistant coach with responsibility for the backs and conditioning. Shannon's infectious enthusiasm for rugby remains undiminished and his intimate knowledge of the modern players' requirements will provide Dundee's players with an ideal opportunity to improve their abilty to perform at the highest level.

 

Colin Robertson - Backs/Coach Development
Colin Robertson joins Dundee High Rugby as a consultant coach for the backs as well as coach development. Colin is Tayside and Fife Institute of Sport’s Performance Lifestyle Area Co-ordinator having previously worked for the Scottish Rugby Union for 20 years. His roles with SRU included Development Officer, National Coach Development Manager and National Academy Coach. He has also been Head Coach of each National Age Group Squad at U18, U19 and U20 levels involving 6 Nations and World Cup competitions.

 

Barry Jones - Fitness/Conditioning
Barry brings a wealth of rugby specific expertise to bear on Dundee High's fitness and conditioning programme. With a BSc (Hons) Sports Conditioning and Development and an MSc in Strength Conditioning, Barry is also a 1st XV regular. He will take charge of players' fitness progression and will be avaialble for personal advice on all aspects of gym work and rugby conditioning.

 

Dundee High Forwards Coach JJ van der EschJJ van der Esch - Forwards Coach
Dundee are delighted to have former player JJ back in a specialist coaching role with the forwards after his recent retirement from playing. His fierce committment to the team are legendary in Dundee and with years of professional and international experience JJ is a valuable addition to the coaching resources at the club offering players of all abilities the chance hone their skills.

 

Dundee High 2nd XV Coach Alan ClarkAlan Clark - 2nd XV Backs Coach
Former 1xt XV scrum-half Alan Clark adds his expertise to a strong 2nd XV coaching set-up at the club. Currently Alan is Active Schools Manager for Dundee City Council and has recent experience of coaching Scottish Premier rugby. Alan's input will allow players to develop the skills to challenge for 1st XV places while ensuring the 2nd XV remain competitive in a high quality league.
Dundee High 2nd XV Manager Robin LunnRobin Lunn - 2nd XV Manager
Robin is a former stand-off with the club with previous experience of coaching the 2nd XV and the club is delighted he has agreed to step up to the manager's role to complement a strong coaching team.
