Ian
Rankin - Head Coach
Ian came to Dundee with a coaching
pedigree of the highest calibre. Having been a successful club
coach, he progressed to Caledonia before earning Scotland U21
and Scotland 'A' recognition then taking the helm with professional
side, Edinburgh Gunners. Now in his 5th season with Dundee,
Ranks has masterminded the club to promotion to Premier 1, and
2 Scottish Cup Finals before being invited to coach the Scotland
club international side in 2007 and again in 2008. Ranks
provides a professional environment at Dundee in which several players
have progressed to international and professional rugby.
Shannon
Wilson - Assistant Coach Shannon Wilson joins the backroom staff as assistant coach with responsibility for the backs and conditioning. Shannon's infectious enthusiasm for rugby
remains undiminished and his intimate knowledge of the modern
players' requirements will provide Dundee's players with an ideal opportunity
to improve their abilty to perform at the highest level.
Tom Dymock - 2nd XV Forwards Coach
Tom has a long and successful history with Dundee Rugby as
captain, coach and president and makes a welcome return
in a specialist
coaching role. Having coached at the highest level in the domestic
game, Tom has an immense wealth of experience at his disposal
and provides an important resource for players to develop their
game.
Robin Lunn - 2nd XV Backs Coach
Robin is a former stand-off with the club with previous experience of coaching the 2nd XV and the club is delighted to welcome him back to reprise that role. Rob, who is also a referee, will have responsibility for the 2nd XV backs and with his playing and coaching experience is a very welcome addition to an already strong coaching set-up at the club.
Alan
Clark - Backs Coach
Foremr 1xt XV scrum-half Alan Clark returns to add his expertise to a strong coaching set-up at the club. Currently Alan is Active Schools Manager for Dundee City Council and has recent experience of coaching Scottish Premier rugby. Expanding the coaching resource will allow players to receive more individual attention and development.
