Limited Parking at Mayfield on Match Days

Experience at recent 1st XV home games has shown that the Mayfield car park is full by 1.30pm when KO is at 3.00pm, and by 12.30pm in the winter months.

As a result the Dundee High Rugby advise that priority will be given to Players, Lunch Club guests, Match officials and the Press corps and that the car park gates may be closed when spectators arrive.

Alternatives to parking inside Mayfield are on-street Parking or using public transport.

  • There is a bus service serving Mayfield with the 28/29 and 73 services running past the gates.
  • For on-street parking, the we ask drivers to park where there are no restrictions, taking care not to block access to residents' driveways or the entrance to the Eastern Necropolis.
The police are fully supportive of sensible parking within the area of Mayfield, and it is in all our interests to adhere to traffic parking restrictions.

Hopefully this won't cause too much disruption for fans of Dundee High Rugby and we look forward to welcoming you to Mayfield for all our home games.

 Play for Dundee High Rugby

Whether you are looking to progress to the professional ranks or just want to enjoy good rugby with good friends, be part of Dundee Rugby.

Use the tabs above to get a flavour of why Dundee High Rugby is the number 1 choice for players in the area

Dundee High Rugby offers players the highest level of league competition in the area.
  • 1st XV play in the RBS Premier Division 1
  • 2nd XV play in the 1st Division of the 2nd XV league
  • 3rd XV play in the Scottish Reserve League Caledonia 1
The club strives to provide coaching, support and competition of the highest calibre allowing players to realise their potential.

As a result we continue to develop players who play international rugby or gain professional contracts as well as playing in Scottish Cup Finals at Murrayfield and the Melrose Sevens.

However it's not all deadly serious with plenty scope for the social player to get a regular game and enjoy their rugby - and even some training - in top class facilities with good friends.

In addition, the social scene at Mayfield is thriving and largely player driven so there's always something going on.

Top class coaching is complemented by first a class training environment.
  • A multi-million pound sports centre
  • Floodlit training areas
  • Artificial surface
  • Gym and indoor facilities
Having hosted both the All Blacks and Wallabies, Mayfield boasts the best of facilities in the area.
Dundee High Rugby is the first choice for students coming to study at Dundee and Abertay Universities. Dundee's coaches have worked closely with Dundee University teams over the last few seasons and many of our players from the student community have gone on to earn Scottish University or Club International caps.

So if you're planning to study in Dundee or move to the area, pop down to the club and join in.

Dundee High Rugby has always proved to be a popular choice for those travellers who don't want to lose their sharpness playing in the lower leagues while still enjoying their time abroad.

A number who have succeeded in the Dundee High 1st XV have gone on to win professional contracts and national caps while their contributions have allowed local players to experience and learn from international ideas and attitudes.
